The Perfect Wine And Cheese Party

This is the perfect time of year to host a wine and cheese party, made even better with a beautiful fire. Read the following for the perfect wine pairings...

Like Sauvignon Blanc, Grüner Veltliner, (typically from Austria), refreshes with similar tart citrus flavors and a light, herbaceous quality. It is incredibly food-friendly, thanks to high acidity and a peppery zip on the palate. Try it with fiery curry or as a revitalizing foil for fatty foods like fried chicken. We like the vivid, tangy lime and green apple notes in Lois Grüner Veltliner 2012, ($15, at liquor stores).

Kick Up The Comfort Level In Your Living Room

Relaxing in the living room has long been a tradition for many families. But are you maximizing the comfort level in your living room?

The Perfect Stew

This is the perfect time of year for some mulled cider and stew by the fireplace. It can only be made better with loved ones, sharing delicious recipes like the following...

This is the quintessential beef stew. Jacques Pépin’s mother served it at her restaurant, Le Pélican, where she made it with tougher cuts of meat.
